Winsford Diamonds 4 – 4 Egerton Pumas U9’s

Not even the howling gale could separate the two sides in an exciting encounter. Winsford opened the scoring before Leo Buckley equalised with a thunderbolt from the left. The Diamonds again took the lead from a corner and again Buckley pegged the opposition back after Egerton pressured the defence. Winsford re-took the lead with a well worked goal and then extended it to a two goal margin to put the game seemingly beyond the Pumas. Egerton, however, had other ideas and were soon back in it when Liam Birnie latched on to a through ball from Adam Lee. Man of the match Leo Buckley capped a fine performance by completing his hat trick to make sure the spoils were shared.
