Today at citys academy was always going to be a challenge, as the boys who we were playing were either on the brink of the citys "elite squad" or fighting for a place in it.
The change of format to 6v6 and the small sided pitch didn`t help the egerton boys and it took a few games to adapt.
The city coach insisted he "warm up" our boys too, and put them through his pre match drills that they did with ease which was pleasing to see.
There is no need to write about the city goals tally on the day , but i feel we should take as many positives from todays game as we can ,3 great goals by Jack and a screamer from Ed left me and the boys happier overall ,
The keepers played their part too as you can imagin, they were peppered from all angels all morning, but all the boys i feel played their part against a more tallented and stronger opposition.

Well done today on being Polite, playing football the right way never giving up playing football with a smile on your face, you are a credit to your parents,manager,coach and your football club,
and you will be invited back soon !
The chat i had with him he said city benefitted from the day more than Egerton , in what way i dont know, i have asked Mark Burton to find out!

well done boys sounds like you did yourselves and the club proud.These days out are for experience and as jim says the results dont matter even though we all like to win.
