After suffering their first defeat of the season, Egerton were in mood to lose this game. The Pumas soon took the lead when Olivia French picked out Liam Birnie with a fine pass, who in turn neatly threaded the ball through to Jack Curbishley whose shot crept in at the near post. Egerton pressed for more with Man of the Match Freddie Sass making unbelievable runs to carry the ball from his own box to the opposition area while Tom Quenby’s dead ball delivery looked like another likely source of a goal. Although relatively quiet, Matt Willis’ handling and anticipation ensured that it was unlikely that they would concede. In the second half the Pumas doubled their tally when Ben Henthorn swept the ball out to wing wizard Bradley Hargreaves and Jack Curbishley arrived with perfect timing to sweep the ball home. More chances came and were spurned as Stan Smith went close and Jack Curbishely couldn’t complete his hat trick. Again Bradley Hargreaves turned provider when he slotted the ball through to Liam Birnie who coolly finished giving the keeper no chance and wrapping up victory. The Pumas clinched their clean sheet when Cuddington were unlucky to see a good effort come back off the post.
