Macclesfield Town 0 - 6 Egerton Pumas U9's

After a run of disappointing results, the Pumas came back with a vengeance. A slow start saw the Pumas dominating possession as they tried to impose their passing game. Macclesfield had the best chance of the earliest exchanges but didn't trouble keeper Matt Willis. Midway through the first half Stan Smith's first touch found Bradley Hargreaves with time and space to calmly slot the ball into the bottom corner vfor the first goal. Maccelsfield responded well but even with a three man advantage could not find a way past Ben Henthorn. Bradley Hargeaves broke down the right and his low cross shot was turned in at the far post by Stan Smith to maintain his fine sequence of scoring in consecutiove games. Tom Quenby linked play well across the park and created a chance for Jack Curbishley who's shot went just wide. After the break, Egerton started on the back foot and Matt Willis had to get down well to turn a goal bound effort round the post. The midfield and defensive combinations were proving too much for the opposition to handle even with Liam Birnie spreading suffering from an injury. Freddie Sass gave another fantastic performance giving Macclesfield no time or space to dwell in the ball. As the second half progressed, Mitchell Brown bossed the midfield creating chance after chance spraying the ball around. His Man of the Match performance contributed to four second half goals as first Bradley Hargreaves completed his brace with a nonchalant finish; then Stan Smith completed his brace with trademark tap in the goal line; andf Jack Curbishley picked up another two goals playing on the shoulder of the last defender to take full advantage.

Team: Ben Henthorn; Bradley Hargreaves; Freddie Sass; Jack Curbishley; Liam Birney; Matt Willis; Mitchell Brown; Stan Smith; Tom Quenby
