The Panthers didn't waste anytime setting aboutr the opposition and Ollie Oldbury showed the first intent bursting down the left and forcing the Macclesfield keeper into the first of many fine saves. Minutes later Ollie was hit the bar with a rasping and Paolo Tabone almost opened the scoring but was thwarted by the keeper. Macclesfield almost scored too but a good effort went wide and stand in keeper Isaac Bennett wasn't tested. Eventually the deadlock was broken in the first half when Archie Phillips crossed to the back post and Adam Lee was there to stroke the ball home magnificently. The Panthers looked to extend their lead in the second half when Adam Lee almost curled a good effort in and Luke Granger was unlucky not score the goal his great all round performance deserved. At the other end Ben Haselden was setting himself a personal challenge to clear the boundary fencing as anything threatening the Egerton box was volleyed away from danger. His defensive partner Andy Price had another wonderful game intelligently using the ball to earn himself the man of the match award for the second week running. The Panthers second was scored when Ollie Oldbury cut in from wide and coolly slotted the ball into the net after receiving a superb pass down the line by Adam Lee. Ollie Oldbury then fed Luke Granger who squared to Leo Buckley who slid the ball past the keepr for the team's third goal. He almopst picked up a second when he turned smartly and hit a sweet strike which cannoned of the post. It was Luke Granger's turn to rue his luck next when his shot clipped the post. The fourth and final goal came courtesy of long clearance by Archie Phillips and Ollie Oldbury's persistent chasing down forced a defelcted shot in to wrap up the game.
